Issue

After clicking the shutdown button in the VxRail Manager, it appears to shutdwon properly but when you check the nodes they never power off, some VMs don't power off, and the lights stay on, on the appliance.

This bug was introduced by "graceful shudown" feature since VxRail 3.0, and fixed in VxRail 4.0 release.
Cause
When there is external storage mounted on node #1 the temporary shutdown file can be written to the external storage instead of the SATADOM, this causes the appliance shutdown workflow failed to proceed.
Resolution
Workaround:
Unmount the external storage from node 1 prior to the shutdown process.

Solution:
This bug has been fixed in VxRail 4.0 release.
